I'm Lindsey — a writer, yoga teacher, and entrepreneur
I'm Lindsey — writer, yoga teacher, entrepreneur, and someone who has learned—through fire and grace—what it means to start over, rise up, and live with purpose.
Whether on the mat, behind the pen, or inside the walls of a women-led community, my mission has always been clear: help women come home to themselves.
After walking away from a ten-year corporate career and a six-figure salary in 2017, I took a leap that scared the hell out of me. I didn’t have all the answers—just a calling. I dove headfirst into opening Empower Yoga Boutique and helped launch The Beauty Boost in its first two cities, Cleveland and Cincinnati. I went on to own The Beauty Boost Cleveland until 2022, creating hundreds of events and community connections before stepping away to focus on myself, my health, and my next chapter. Turns out, that next chapter would be the most personal and powerful one yet.
In 2023 and 2024, I faced a life-altering cancer diagnosis. And while that season cracked me open, it also showed me where my roots were the strongest. Movement became my joy. Community became my medicine. It was in these raw, quiet moments that I found myself again—not in a boardroom, but on a yoga mat, in deep conversation, and surrounded by women who reminded me of my strength.
Owning 614FitClub & Why It Feels Like Home
614FitClub isn’t just another gym—it’s a movement, a mindset, and a love letter to women who are ready to feel powerful in their own skin. I created this space because I knew firsthand how deeply healing movement can be. It’s more than workouts—it’s sisterhood, self-discovery, and sweat therapy. Every time someone walks through our doors, they’re met with intention, encouragement, and the permission to evolve at their own pace.
My Writing Journey
While building businesses, I’ve also built a full-time writing career rooted in storytelling that matters through my consulting firm, French 75. Since 2017, I’ve worked as a professional copywriter and brand storyteller, partnering with powerhouse clients like 614Magazine (where I was formerly Associate Editor and now serve as a Contributing Writer), OhioHealth (where I ghostwrite for their leadership team and helped reimagine their website), Ohio Liquor (where I led brand campaigns and site content), and the University of Cincinnati (where I write blog and website copy).
My writing has always been about connection—about helping people and brands articulate who they are and what they stand for. I believe words can move people. And I live to write the ones that do.
What Kind of Impact Do I Hope to Make?
I hope to hold space for women in all stages—those starting over, burning out, rising up, or just trying to feel good in their bodies again. I’ve lived each version. Whether it’s through a powerful yoga class, an article that hits home, or a meaningful conversation after class—I’m here for the kind of impact that lingers long after the moment ends.
Who or What Inspires Me?
Women who take the leap. The ones who don’t wait for permission, who pivot when life demands it, and who keep showing up, even when it’s hard. Entrepreneurship has been the greatest teacher of my life—and the women I’ve met through it have been the greatest gift.
Favorite Quote or Advice?
“Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready.”
It’s not about hustle—it’s about knowing who you are, owning your magic, and being prepared to answer the call when it comes.
What I Want Going Beyond Bookkeeping Members to Know:
Leaving the comfort of a 9–5 to build something of my own was one of the scariest—and most rewarding—decisions I’ve ever made. Helping build Empower Yoga Boutique and launch The Beauty Boost in Cleveland and Cincinnati were a huge part of that chapter. The events, the magic, and the women I met changed me in the best ways to become a better version of who I am today. Even after stepping away from ownership, that mission still pulses through everything I do: creating spaces where women feel seen, empowered, and strong—mind, body, and business.
